Q:

Cleaning Cycle 91193311010 Kenmore 30

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears and contacting us with your question about your Kenmore range model 91193311010. I am so sorry you are having issues with the cleaning cycle.  I will be happy to help you with this. I have included the link below for you to view the owner’s manual online, in case you don’t have a copy.

Based on the manual, there are a couple of conditions under which the lights will flash during a cleaning cycle. If the lights are flashing and the self-clean cycle will not start, that is an indication that the door latch is not completely engaged. Try unlocking and relocking the door to see if that clears up the issue. If the range has finished the clean cycle but the door will not unlock, that means the internal temperature of the oven is too high. The door latch, as a safety feature, will not release until the internal temperature of the oven reaches a safe level. It can take the oven up to an hour to cool sufficiently. This is because opening the door too soon can cause the door glass to shatter from the sudden shock of extreme temperature changes.

If the self-clean will not disengage and the range temperature continues to get higher, you may have a problem with the temperature sensor, the wiring harness or the electronic control. In this situation you should disconnect the power supply to the range until you can pinpoint the problem and correct it. I have included the link below for our range troubleshooting guides.

There isn’t a method for disconnecting the self-clean feature. However, if you are uncomfortable with it, I recommend you simply don’t use it. When manually cleaning the oven, please remember you should not use any oven cleaner products as they can damage the oven. Do not use any abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads. Clean with mild dish soap and remove soap residue before using the oven again.

SAFETY WARNING: Disconnect the power supply before beginning your project to prevent the risk of electrical shock which can result in property damage, serious personal injury or even death. Internal parts may have sharp edges. Use caution and wear work gloves to prevent serious cuts. If you are not comfortable completing this repair, you can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME).

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.
