Question and Answers

Q:

Our 1980s Kenmore stove #911.6268310 has no insulation in the oven door. What insulation can we use to fix it?

A:

The specific door insulation for you model is no longer available however; any type of a fiberglass insulation will work providing the fiberglass insulation does not have a paper backing. If it has a paper backing, remove the paper backing before installing the fiberglass insulation between the inner and outer door panel.

Q:

How do I change the element in my Kenmore stove?

A:

The wires on the back of the element are normally attached with spades that will just pull off of the old element. There should be enough slack in the wires to pull the old element out into the oven cavity so that you can disconnect the wires from the existing element. Connect these wires to the new element.

These tips should help you replace the element. According to the part number you provided, I take it that you are replacing an oven element.
