Question and Answers

Q:

Need installation instructions for Kenmore Microwave/Oven combo model 9114942592.

A:

I am sorry you are experiencing difficulties with your Microwave. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. Door repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage and a microwave shielding leakage test must be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service. I strongly suggest that you have this repair handled only by a qualified service technician. I have provided a link To Sears Home Services if you decide to schedule service.

Hello Alina, I am not experiencing difficulties with my unit. I am in the process of replacing aged appliances and researching available replacements for the unit currently installed. I do understand the hazards of microwaves and do not plan on repairing the unit (works great), but upgrading an aged kitchen for my wife. Sorry for the misunderstanding, but I do need the installation specs for the unit in my original posting.

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry for the lack of an installation guide for this model.  This microwave sits on top of the oven and is for most purposes a free standing microwave that sits on top of the built in oven with trim pieces giving the appearance of built in.  Due to the style and age I don't believe installation instructions are available. I believe your best option is to remove the trim and take measurements directly from the microwave.

Q:

Oven door has difficulty locking and unlocking during auto cleaning

A:

It can be very frustrating when your dishwasher malfunctions. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did some research on the unit. At this time, I was unable to locate information that would be helpful in regards to your question. Some of these questions that are asked will need specific research and will be answered by an expert with-in two business days but usually sooner.

You could have a problem with the oven door lock motor assembly or the electronic oven control board. Since this wall oven combo has a microwave, I recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair that failure. Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a lethal electrical charge of up to 2200 VAC -- even when the microwave is unplugged. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as repairing a door lock assembly, can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave/oven combo service.

It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in oven/microwave combo repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician.
You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME.
We thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope we can help you with other questions and repairs in the future.

Thank you for submitting your question. Wall ovens are not measured in cubic feet. However, the microwave is and the microwave for this unit is 3.5 cubic feet. Here is the installation guide for this wall combination unit. The dimensions for the complete unit will be listed in there. I hope this helps.
