Question and Answers

I'm getting an f-7 code on my Kenmore Elite 30

Error codes are just so complicated. It would just be so much easier if the display just wrote what was wrong, but of course not nothing is ever that easy. I have found the meanings to the error codes that you are showing here on Manage My Life posted definitions of the error codes from experts. I have attached the link below if you are interested in viewing while waiting on your response from an expert. Hope this helps!

First disconnect power to the oven before attempting to access or replace parts. On something like this you will need to unplug the ribbon connector & wait at least 1 minute. If the code recurs the problem is the control board, otherwise it's the keypad.

To access, pull the oven out & remove the top panel.

Please see the attached image below for details.

Remember to disconnect power to the oven before attempting to access or replace parts.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.
