A:

The F7 and F0 codes indicate that you have a problem with either the control panel keypad or the electronic oven control board as shown in image below. You can shut off the breaker for the oven and disconnect the ribbon key panel connection on the control board. Reassemble the range and power it back up with the key pad disconnected. If the F7 and F0 error codes reappear then you will need to replace the key panel as explained below.

You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website. NOTE: The model number that you submitted appears to be slightly off. You are missing a "9" in the final digits. The model number should be 911.48489991. Use this model number to order parts (if it is correct).

This information should help you determine the exact cause of your failure. If you need more help, submit additional details and we will assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

What do the error codes mean on Kenmore oven model 911.48489991?

A:

The technical data sheet for this model of Kenmore oven is shown in the images below. There is not a service manual on this oven. You can view a parts list diagram (and order parts) on the Sears PartsDirect website. The technical information shown below can normally be used to resolve any oven failure. This information is intended for technicians. Follow electrical safety guidelines when using this data. Shut off the breaker to disconnect electrical power when accessing internal components.

The F7 indicates a stuck key on the control panel or a stuck relay on the electronic control board as shown in the information below. The troubleshooting involves determining whether the problem is with the control panel or the electronic control board. If you shut off the breaker and access the electronic control board, you can unplug the control panel ribbon wire connection and then reassemble the oven. Reapply electrical power and see if the F7 code reappears. If it does, then the electronic control board (part WB27T10282) will need to be replaced.

If the F7 code does not reappear, shut off the breaker and check the control panel ribbon connection for damage or corrosion. Plug the ribbon connector securely back into the control board and see if the F7 code reappears. (A loose ribbon wire connection can cause this code.) If it does, then the control panel will need to be replaced.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.
