The F3 normally indicates that you have a bad oven temperature sensor probe. It can be caused by a wire harness problem between the sensor and the control board in the console or a bad control board.

The image below shows how to access the temperature sensor in the oven. Shut off the circuit breaker to the oven and pull the sensor out as shown. If you have a volt/ohm meter, you can check the resistance of this sensor. At room temperature, the sensor should measure around 1100 ohms. If the resistance is off, then the sensor will need to be replaced. You can order a new sensor from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number is WB21X5301.

If the sensor is okay, you will need to plug it back in and check the resistance through the entire sensor circuit from the control board. The second image shows the wiring diagram and technical information for this oven. You should be able to access the control board by opening the oven door and removing the screws at the bottom of the console (with the circuit breaker still shut off). If the resistance through the wires at the control board is normal (1100 ohms) and the wires are not shorted to the metal cabinet, then the control board will need to be replaced.

These tips should help you resolve this oven problem. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
