Question and Answers

Q:

Is the lower oven temperature sensor different then the upper oven temperature sensor? 91148365791

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you’re having with the lower oven’s sensor. I know how frustrating that is to have happen.

The lower oven uses a typical oven thermostat with the sensing bulb attached to the thermostat as an assembly. The sensing bulb is part of the lower oven thermostat. The part number for the lower oven thermostat is WB20K5011. This is what you would more than likely need, but unfortunately it’s been discontinued with no substitute offered. I have provided a picture for the thermostat below.

Jeff, thank you for your quick response. I believe you have correctly identified the part, but now I am concerned if I'll be able to fix my oven at all. Do you have any suggestions as to where I might find an out of date part or where I could send my broken part to be fixed? I hope the only solution isn't just "buy another oven." Thank you
