Question and Answers

Q:

I have a Kenmore double oven Model 911.4832992. The top oven won't bake properly, won't reach temp. What causes this?

A:

You either have a bad oven temperature sensor or a bad control board. To test swap the sensors in the ovens and try the top oven. If it still goes to 400 when the oven temperature is 250 the oven control is bad.

Q:

What is the part number for the lower oven temperature sensor?

A:

The lower oven uses a typical oven thermostat with the sensing bulb attached to the thermostat as an assembly. The sensing bulb is part of the lower oven thermostat. Part# for the lower oven thermostat is WB21X5209. The thermostat is key#5 under the Control Section.

I added the link to Sears Parts Direct below by clicking on Thermostat.

I want to thank you so much for your correct answer to my question above because even after supposedly researching the same with the manufacturer, Sears called me back and again gave me the incorrect part number by saying the sensor for the top oven works in the bottom oven. It does not and they were wrong once again. WHAT A GREAT SITE! THANKS A MILLION!
