Thank you for your question.  Parts replacement instructions sometimes come with the part, sometimes not.  The model number provided appears to be for the microwave.  The built in oven should have a different model number. It is likely that they share the control.  If this is the case, I recommend scheduling a technician to make repairs.  Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a lethal electrical charge of up to 2200 VAC -- even when the microwave is unplugged. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage. It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in microwave repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician. We thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope we can help you with other questions and repairs in the future.  A technician can be scheduled at Sears Home Services. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

I have a built in oven with microwave above model#911.47813201 Kenmore that has areas of rust in it. Can I sand the areas then repaint?

A:

You certainly can repaint the interior. A fine grade sand paper with the proper paint and elbow grease will make your microwave as good as new. I have provided a link below that will give you a brief explanation on the topic along with approved microwave paints you can choose from. Best of luck and happy painting.

A:

That link for a previous answer has some advice for repainting the surface inside the cavity of a microwave. According to your details, it sounds like that rust is on the inside of that microwave oven cavity. That information may help you fix that type of problem.

That rust is probably not severely toxic or harmful. It will probably not get into the food in levels that could have any health affects. That being said, it would probably be better to fix that problem and avoid any potential health problems.

A:

The number that you provided appears to be a part number for a microwave. I am not able to cross reference the part number to Kenmore wall ovens that use that part. You may have a wall oven/microwave combo that you are trying to install. I recommend that you examine the oven for a Kenmore model number in a format such as 911.47813201 or 790.47859400.

Reply with an updated model number and we try to assist you further. Once we receive a valid model number for the Kenmore wall oven, we will try to find installation cut-out dimensions.
