Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F7" fault code indicates stuck key pad or a faulty electronic oven control.

A technician would determine if the control panel/key panel is faulty or if the electronic oven control is faulty by:

  • Pushing the Clear/OFF pad.
  • Disconnecting the ribbon connector from the control and the waiting at least 32 seconds to see if the code recurs.

If the code recurs; the electronic oven control is faulty and will need to be replaced. If the code does not recur, the key panel/control panel is faulty and it will need to be replaced. NOTE: This test must be performed under live voltage and I do not recommend attempting this unless you have experience working around live voltage and you feel safe and confident in doing so; otherwise I strongly suggest calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your wall oven.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services

Maria: You can try programming and starting the self clean cycle and then after one minute press Cancel/Clear/Off and wait to see if the door will unlock. If not, you will likely need a service technician to diagnose and repair your oven.

I can understand how frustrating it is to have issues with your range. It sounds like the control board for the range has shorted, and needs to be replaced. I would recommend that you test the outlet first to make sure you are getting power. This should be giving you 240 volts. If you are then I would suggest that you test the board. You will need to pull the range away from the wall, and remove the back panel of the controls. This should give you access to the board. With an ohm/volt meter, test the bake and broil pins, here you should getting 240 volts as well. If you are not getting this, then replace the board. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
