Error Code:

Question and Answers

Can you please tell me what an F7 code is. Please and Thank you. 91147465791 Kenmore Wall oven

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the error code you’re receiving on the wall oven. I know how frustrating that is.

The "F7" fault code means a shorted Start key or a shorted matrix. This means it may have a shorted Key Panel/Control panel or a faulty oven control. It will likely need a new control panel/key panel.

A technician would push the Clear/OFF pad, disconnect the ribbon cable connector from the control board and wait at least 32 seconds to see if the "F7" code recurs. If the code recurs he would replace the oven control board. If the code does not recur he would replace the key panel.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using We appreciate your business.

What does F5 mean on a Kenmore wall oven?

Core Issue:What does F5 mean on a Kenmore wall oven?

An error has been detected by the control when display is showing F5. Most error codes are generated as a result of irregularities in the power supply or usage. Error codes can often be resolved by removing power to the appliance for a minute and then restoring the power. By unplugging the appliance it allows the control to receive a fresh supply of power. This in turn will clear the controls memory of any irregularities it may have received from the power supply. Once refreshed the error should no longer be displayed.

Follow these instructions to refresh the error F5:

  1. Unplug the unit or turn the circuit breaker off for 60 seconds.
  2. Now, restore the power to the appliance by plugging it back in or turning the circuit breaker back on.
  3. Check to see if the error code is still displayed on the range.

If the error code is not displayed after unplugging and replugging the appliance, test the appliance to make sure the error has been removed. Run the appliance in the cycle that initially caused the error. If the error code is displayed, then Professional service is needed.

Repair 91147465791 Kenmore Wall oven

Thank you for choosing I will be more than happy to assist you.

The "F7" fault code indicates a stuck key pad or a faulty electronic oven control board. The key pad is part of the control panel. The
electronic oven control and/or control panel
can be looked up and ordered from Sears Parts Direct.
The component failure can be determined by; pushing the Clear/Off pad and then disconnecting the flat ribbon connector from the electronic oven control and waiting for at least 35 seconds to see if the code recurs. If the "F7" recurs, replace the electronic oven control. If it does not, the problem is with the key pad.
NOTE: The flat ribbon connector will need to be disconnected after pressing the Clear/Off key pad and I do not recommend attempting this unless you have experience and feel safe and confident in doing so because the voltage supply must be connected while performing this test, otherwise I strongly suggest calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your wall oven.

If you have any further questions or concerns, you will have to post a new question. Again, thank you for choosing
