Question and Answers

Q:

Why is my Kenmore wall oven shutting off?

A:

Ovens are the most important appliance because it makes us nice hot meals so without one it can be really disappointing. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, a suggestion I have is to visit Sears Home Services website to set service with a Sears technician. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

A:

Sometimes power outages are accompanied by a power surge. Power surges can damage the electronic control on appliances.

It sounds like the electronic control (clock) on your oven has failed. It is possible that a wire inside the oven is loose or broken. Someone will need to check the voltages on the control and the wiring to it.

If you want to try to repair the oven yourself, disconnect power to it and remove the control panel. Inspect the wires inside the control panel for damage.

If you need more information, reply on this thread, and I will be glad to help.

If you are not comfortable attempting the repair, you can go to Home Services and get a Sears technician to repair the oven.
