Question and Answers

Q:

Need a manual for a Kenmore oven.

A:

ManageMyLife.com is a great place to find your owner's manual for various products. I am sorry that you are having some difficulties finding yours. Manufacturers stop producing manuals after ten years. This could be the cause of availability. Sometimes the expert can find one that is very similar to yours. You should hear back within two business days. I also added a link below to Sears Home Services, if you decide to schedule services.

. Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to know if you can get the bake and broil to work on the control.

This usually indicates that there is a failed component in the electronic control.

I would suggest that you remove power from the range for at least 1 minute and then power it back up to see if it will reset the control.

I most cases if this does not work you will need to replace the electronic control/clock board.

The part number of the control is: WB27M13R for about $158.00 and you can order it from: Sears Parts Direct | www.searspartsdirect.com?sid=MMLxexpertxmerch] .

If you decide to repair the range, please reply and I will give you some instructions if you need them on replacing the control.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life

Q:

Why does my Kenmore electric range keep coming up with codes f2 and f3, model number 911.4694990? What do they mean ?

A:

Core Issue: Why does my Kenmore electric range keep coming up with codes f2 and f3, model number 911.4694990? What do they mean?

Answer :

The F2 & F3 error codes both mention the temp sensor. The temp sensor is mounted inside the oven cavity & regulates the oven set temperature. If the temp sensor fails the oven could overheat. This is what generates the error codes. I recommend having the temp sensor checked with an ohm meter, at room temperature the sensor should ohm out at approximate 1100 ohms. If you decide to replace the range I recommend going to www.sears.com to find the right size range for your needs.
