Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is trouble with the range.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore model number 911.4678810.

The F1 code stipulates that you are in need of the electronic control for the oven.  It would also be a reason why hte door will not open.   It controls all applicaations of the range.  I have it on the link below.

Timer control for model 911.4678810

If you have further questions please let me know.

Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

A locked oven and an error would be upsetting. We may be able to help.

The fault code means the oven exceeded 624 degrees with the door unlocked or it exceeded 925 degrees with the door locked. This could be the control board, wiring circuits or the temperature sensor probe.

To open locked door, try to press and hold the STOP/CLEAR button for 3 deliberate seconds (count slowly). This should clear that oven control lock out. If that does not clear the lock, try unplugging the range for 30 seconds.

One common cause is the sensor. If you have a volt/ohm meter and are comfortable with electrical wiring and connectors, you can check the sensor resistance to see if it is in calibration. It should read 1100 ohms at 75 degrees. Always disconnect power to the range before attempting any service or repairs

Due to the number of possible causes, I recommend having a qualified technician diagnose this issue to make repairs. You can schedule a Sears technician here; Sears Home Services .

If further assistance is needed, please reply back to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

I have a kenmore stove with self cleaning oven. when I try to clean the oven the word door appears and it just keeps beeping

A:

A non working Oven is not something any of us want to see. If you are technically handy, this is a good site to get instruction and fix some things yourself. If you do not feel confident doing your own repairs, an option is to visit Sears Home Services and use the scheduler. While you wait for the expert to review your model, you can check the bottom links for some possibilities. Hope this is of help.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom it sounds like the control and door switch does no recognize the door being shut. Open the oven door and look in the upper left or upper right corner of the oven frame for a metal plunger. Close the oven door and press inwards on the upper corner side of the door where the metal rod/plunger is located and keep a little inwards pressure and then program a clean cycle. If the door switch and door locking mechanism is working properly, the door should lock and then begin a clean cycle.

If it continues to flash door and beeping then it may need a new door switch or door locking mechanism. You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
