Q:

Received a replacement oven door gasket WB2K5319 for my model 911.46566690 and its not real close to original. Is this really the right gasket?

A:

I am sorry that you are having some difficulties with the door gasket repairs and I will be happy to help. I did some research and I was able to find a link with a similar question. If you are still having troubles with your repairs I am adding a second link in where you can set service to have a certified technician fix the range door. I hope this helps with your repairs while you wait for your expert response.

I got the old seal off and put the new one on. However it does not really fit right and I am sure this part is not right even though they said it was a replacement. Was hoping someone could look at the pictures and see if I should go back to parts to open a research on the part. Sure does not look right to me. Had the part been identical I could have replace this without issue.

According to your pictures, it appears that you received the wrong door gasket. The part number that you have is correct (WB2K5319 or WB02K5319). The replacement door gasket should look like the original one. I recommend that you return that door gasket and have them ship you the correct part.

Lyle Thanks I called and got an RMA number and reordered the same part number again. Must be a warehouse issue. I also just searched the web and found the replacement part pic at AppliancePartsPros.com . It is clear there that the part would have been just like the original. I attached their picture. So we will see what Sears parts sends this time. If they mess it up again I am ordering somewhere else and will open a ticket for with Sears parts for them to resolve.

Q:

My electric stove does not heat up properly. It stops at any temperature, then I turn it off and back on. Eventually it heats up but beyond the preset temp.

A:

On something like this you will need to ohm out the temp sensor with a meter. If the sensor & harness check good then you will need to replace the control. If the temp sensor fails you will usually get an F3 or F4 error code in the clock display. Control; WB27T10419, sensor; WB21X5301 www.searspartsdirect.com NOTE: be sure both elements are coming on in preheat.

I do have a tester so I can perform this, just need to know exactly where to put the contacts from the meter? Do I test the sensor itself where it protrudes into the oven and the harness? The display does not give me either an F3 or F4 error code. Thanks for your help.
