The first 2 images below show the instructions that you probably received with that control board kit. If not, then the technician may be able to use that information to connect that new control board. The 3rd, 4th and 5th images show the original wiring diagram and control board configuration. Brian; The touch pads are as dependable today as they were in the past. They can stick or short just like any other model range with a touch pad/touch panel. The same holds true for the electronic oven control/clock assembly. I added a couple of images below of the wiring diagram. I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post along with the model number.

Thank you for submitting your question. I understand your concern and I will be happy to assist you. You could be experiencing a door lock or control board issue. If the door is engaging properly, then it'll be an issue with the control board. Try unplugging the range for 5-10 mintues and power it back on to see if it changes. If it doesn't, you can get an ohms/volt meter to test the door latch assembly to see if that's the issue. For further assistance, please reply back to this thread with more details. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your range burner. Based on your symptom and details the burner switch/infinite switch operating that specific surface element is faulty and will need to be replaced. The infinite switch/burner switch can be accessed and replaced from the rear by removing the panel from behind the console. You will also need to pull the control knob off in order to access the two screws securing the burner switch to the console. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console. You can order the infinite switch needed and have it shipped to you from Sears PartsDirect. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Just click on this link to schedule service: Sears Home Services . I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
