Question and Answers

Q:

cant figure out dimensions to get unit replaced 911.4558816

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The cut out will need to be a minimum of 30 inches wide between the cabinets. The drop in range is sitting on a raised platform.  The majority of all drop- in ranges are 30 inches wide. The height of the range is approximately 30 1/4".

I hope this helpful.

Yes it is. Bc of the age I was concerned bc the height of my current unit is 30" and the new one is 26 1/2" but cutout height shows 29" online so I was worried that the new unit will be too short I just ordered the new one and am hoping it'll work thanks!

Q:

Why does my Kenmore drop in range model 911.4558816, purchased in 1989 give an F-3 code?

A:

The F3 code tells us the electronic oven control senses a high resistance in the oven sensor circuit. You should measure the resistance of the new sensor from the control. It should read between 1000 and 1200 ohms at room temperature.

If the sensor circuit measures within this range the control is bad. If the sensor circuit measures out of this range, disconnect the sensor from the range wiring harness and measure the resistance of the new sensor. If it measures out of range it is defective. If it measures within the range the wire harness between the sensor and the control has a problem. You can probably repair this problem.
