Question and Answers

Q:

I have the F1 error problem with my Kenmore drop in range model #911.4554090. Can my husband replace this panel or do we need to call a repair man?

A:

Getting error codes on appliance can get frustrating especially when you don't know what they mean and why they appear on Range. While you are waiting on an expert to response to your question, I found this great link in Manage My Life website on error code "F1". I attached the link below. You can also set service with a Sears technician at www.searshomeservices.com website. Hope this helps! http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/questions/209556-i-am-getting-a-f1-code-and-there-are-no-tech-sheets-what-is-f1 www.searshomeservices.com

I had a similar experience last year right after Thanksgiving on a Kenmore free standing range. On mine, the touch pad is a separate (and less expensive) part than the control board. I ordered the part from www.sears.com/partsdirect, had the part delivered to my home. I was able to swap out the part myself in about 20 minutes, all for less than $100. That was my personal experience. A responding expert may have something different to say.

According to the parts list we have the ERC (clock) is no longer available. The only option is to pull it out & ship it off to be rebuilt. You will need to call 1-866-737-2244 for shipping & pricing instructions.

I am sending you some helpful information in the attachment below.

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs.
