Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Adjusting the oven temperature involves removing the oven thermostat knob and loosening the two screws and rotating the insert in the appropriate direction.

I added an image below with the procedure of measuring the oven temperature and adjusting the bake temperature.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.

On this type of symptom we need to use a multimeter to check the in-line resistor that supplies voltage to the control board first. Disconnect power to the range by unplugging the range power cord or turning the breaker off. Follow the control access instructions in the image below. Place your meter to read ohms & test across the resistor terminals with the wires removed. You should read 2200 ohms resistance on your meter. If the resistor is not reading correctly you will need to replace the resistor part number; WB11K5022. If the resistor checks good change your meter to read voltage, before plugging the range back in make sure the wires are placed back on the resistor & nothing is touching & the control electrical components. Carefully place your meter leads across the black & white wires on the EOC. If the voltage reads between 90 & 100 volts then you will need to replace the EOC (clock) part number; WB50T10048 www.searspartsdirect.com

Remember to use extreme caution when working with voltage & disconnect power before removing & putting the panels back in place.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

A:

Most drop-in ranges are 30 inches. I recommend measuring with a tape measure to make sure. The height & depth are all standard.
