The burners not coming on can be very aggravating. I did some research on your model number but was not able to find an answer to your question. Your expert will be able to help answer your question. It may take 24-48 hours. I do hope that everything works out on the cook top.

Check the house circuit breakers or fuses for the cooktop. There is a chance that you lost the L2 leg of 240 volt power to the cooktop. Those lights may work since they will probably reach a neutral ground. You indicated that you checked voltage. Use extreme caution when checking live voltage. Wear electrical safety gloves and safety goggles when checking that voltage. Shut off the house circuit breakers to disconnect electrical power to the cooktop as soon as live testing is completed . If you are comfortable with checking that live voltage, make sure that the elements are getting 240 volt power. They will not heat if only 120 volts of power is supplied to the element.

This failure seems to be caused by a power supply problem or a wiring problem. It would be very unusual for all of the radiant elements or all of the burner switches to fail at one time.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine and repair the cooktop, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

You did not indicate what the voltage measurements were. If all 4 burners fail to heat, I would have to suspect the cook top is not getting the 220-240 voltage supply. The radiant burners require 220-240 volts in order to operate. When the burner switch is turned on, 220-240 volts must be present when measuring across terminals H1 and H2. The voltage supply coming into the burner switch is measured across terminals L1 and L2. The letter "L" on the switch indicates line voltage in and the letter "H" on the switch indicates Heater which is the surface element. I added an image below of the wiring diagram. I circled the placed where 220 volts must be present of the surface elements will not heat. Check across L1 and L2 and across H1 and H2 terminals for 220 volts.

NOTE: I do not recommend measuring voltage unless you have experience and feel safe and confident in doing so; otherwise I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your cook top.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
