Question and Answers

Q:

My wall ovens don't heat up model 91141885991

A:

With the Holidays approaching and not having a working Oven can get a little frustrating. A suggestion I have is to visit Sears Home Services to set service with a Sears technician before the holidays come so you can have a working Oven. I also found this link in Manage My Life website on Oven not heating. I attached the links below. Hope this helps! http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/questions/204845-why-wont-the-oven-heat www.searshomeservices.com

I recommend that you check the house circuit breakers (or fuses) for the oven. The control will light up and work in only the 120 volt "L1" leg of 240 volt power us supplied to the oven. If the other 120 volt leg (L2) is missing, then the elements will not heat. This voltage supply problem is your most likely failure based on your symptoms.

If the voltage supply is okay, you could have a failed control board or a wiring failure. A service technician will likely need to diagnose and repair this type of failure. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will try to help you further.

Thanks, I will check the voltage. Any other way of testing (besides ovens not heating)? Otherwise I have to go buy a meter.

Sears service confirmed not getting full power. Later found loose cable in panel. Thanks for the responses. Very helpful.
