Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I was not able to locate a stainless steel door for the oven or microwave. The doors were not likely ever available in stainless steel in this model.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

I have a Kenmore oven/microwave combo. bake element is not heating

A:

Good morning... It appears that your model number, though hard to read, is correct in that I pulled up information on the unit. Your oven not baking would certainly be worrisome (in that I love to bake my food). I located a link that will discuss other possibilities aside from what you've already replaced and considered. This link will give you some other ideas to explore. It's important to keep in mind that an expert will be responding to you with more details within the next two business days if not much sooner. I hope this helps and have a nice day

No heat from the oven at this time with the holidays approaching is not welcome. The link provided by Henry is good. I would start by verifying there is correct voltage getting to the control and element. If only one side is getting 120 volts, then that will keep the oven from heating. If you have the tools and feel comfortable making these checks, this Video can help.

Remember to disconnect power to the oven before attempting service or repairs

Since you have replaced the control board, I recommend checking for any burnt or broken wiring from the control. A relay on the control board might have failed and is not powering the bake element.

Check the sensor assembly. If it has failed, the electronic control is not receiving the correct signals. The temperature sensor is located inside the oven cavity usually at the rear upper left or right hand corner. It will be protruding into the oven cavity. The sensor is normally fastened to the rear wall of the oven cavity by a single Phillips or hex head screw. Remove the screw and pull the sensor out, it will have a quick disconnect harness plug that you will need to disconnect. Make sure the remaining end does not fall back through the hole behind the oven wall. The oven temperature sensor should measure approximately 1100 ohms.

A wire might be broken or burned off near the heating elements. You indicated the heating element checked fine. Did you check both connections for continuity? It can't hurt to recheck. This type of failure is almost always the heating parts.

If parts are needed, you can order here; Sears Parts Direct .

Once the oven is heating, I recommend calibrating the oven. The image below has the instructions to calibrate this model.

I hope this information helps. If more assistance is needed, please reply. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The brightness of the display can not be increased or reset. It the display is dim, the electronic oven/clock would need to be replaced. This would require a service technician.

I am sorry, but we do not give repair information on microwave ovens because they are inherently dangerous to service. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. Door repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage, and a microwave shielding leakage test must be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service. That's why I strongly warn you to have this repair handled only by a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME.

Normally at ManageMyLife.com we like to help you with all of your repairs, but our expert advice is that microwaves are just too dangerous.

You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
