Question and Answers

Q:

wall/cabinet oven wont stay on and beeping 9114042990

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you're having with the oven shutting off and beeping. I know how frustrating that is to have happen.

You could have a wiring failure, a voltage supply problem, a control panel failure or a problem with the power supply transistor on the electronic oven control board. Before replacing parts, I recommend that you shut off the house circuit breakers for the oven to disconnect electrical power and check the wiring connections on the electronic oven control board.

Those connections should all be checked for a proper fit and for corrosion. You may need to clean the ribbon wire connector with electronics cleaner to remove corrosion.

Note: Replacing that part without further diagnostic testing is a risk. You will normally need to verify that you have proper voltage going to that control board and that wiring connections at the junction box are secure. If you check those issues yourself, be sure that you follow proper electrical safety precautions. Shut off the house circuit breakers to completely disconnect electrical power to the wall oven before accessing internal components and wiring. Wear electrical safety gloves and safety goggles when checking live voltage. Shut off the house circuit breakers as soon as live testing is completed. These tips may help you determine the cause of this failure.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

A:

The symptoms that you are describing are caused by a bad electronic oven clock control board. That control board is no longer available but it can be removed from the console and sent to Core Centric Solutions for repair. Here is a link for the website for that company that has contact information: CoreCentricSolutions.com . The cost for repairing that control board is normally around $150. If you are able to access that control board in the console and remove it, then you can send it to that company for repair. Shut off the house circuit breaker for the oven before accessing internal components.

If you are not confident that you can access and remove that control board yourself, you can have a Sears Technician remove it and send it in for you. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

A:

Why is my Kenmore wall oven displaying an f3 error code?

The F3 error code indicates an oven temperature sensor problem. I would recommend replacing or checking the temp sensor to confirm it needs replaced.
