Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The flashing "Door Locked" indicates the door locking mechanism was activated and it's not able to lock the door. It will flash until it detects that it has reached the locked position.

Try pushing in on the top of the door and to see if it will complete the locking of the door. If it will not lock and it continues to flash, it could have a faulty door lock assembly. The door locking mechanism is located in the front center area under the top. Disconnect the range from the power supply before accessing the door locking mechanism if you feel confident in repairing the range yourself. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

The self clean cycle will typically last 4 hours and 20 minutes . After the cleaning cycle is finished, the door will not unlock until the oven has cooled. You should then be able to unlock the oven door.

If you started a self cleaning cycle and then tried to cancel it by turning the oven control knob to the OFF position, then you will need to wait for the oven to cool before unlocking the door and resuming normal operation.

If the control is stuck in the cleaning cycle and will not allow the door to unlock, then you could have a failed oven temperature sensor or a bad control board in the oven. If resetting the unit by disconnecting it from the outlet for 20-30 minutes doesn't help, I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair this type of failure.

For further assistance, please respond to this thread with more information.

Q:

How do I unlock the oven door on my Kenmore range?

A:

If the self cleaning cycle was interrupted, set the clock up for another self cleaning cycle only let it run for 2 minutes & press stop/cancel. This should allow the lock motor to retract the locking arm & release the door lock. If this does not work we will need to access the door lock assembly & check the lock motor & switches with a meter. From there you should also be able to manually release the locking arm.

Please get back with us if you have a meter & decide to perform the diagnosis & repair yourself.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
