Question and Answers

Q:

The oven and the broiler will not go on! is it the igniters both top and bottom? 9113658815 Kenmore 30

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear that the oven is not heating. I know how frustrating that is to have happen.

I agree; it would be very uncommon for both igniters to go out at the same time. Before the oven burner will ignite, the electronic oven control/clock assembly must close a relay to complete the voltage path to the igniter. The glow bar igniter must glow and it must pull enough current/amperage to open the oven gas valve. If the bake/broil igniters are not glowing, the electronic oven control/clock assembly or an open circuit in the oven gas valve are the most likely suspects. These are very tricky checks to make, and we would recommend having a service technician help assist with the diagnosis and repair.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

It could have a faulty bake igniter, electronic oven control/clock assembly, faulty oven safety valve or a faulty relay board. The bake and broil igniters are interchangeable if you want to swap the two and then see if the igniter will glow. If the bake igniter does not glow after swapping the two, then it could have a faulty electronic oven control, relay board, oven safety valve or a loose or burnt wire connection in the bake circuit.

I highly recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your range.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F1" fault code indicates a faulty electronic oven control board. The power surge or lightning has likely caused the control to fail. The top should hinge open in order to access the cover from behind the electronic oven control. Remove the cover to access the electronic oven control. NOTE: Disconnect the range from the power supply before servicing.

The electronic oven control #WB19X255R for Kenmore range model 911.3658815 can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct.
