Question and Answers

Q:

Oven won't heat following a successful a self-clean 91133464400 Kenmore Range

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your oven. Upon researching model number 91133464400; there are multiple gas components that work together. The igniter needs to reach a certain temperature before it will release power to the gas valve. The thermostats need to function before the igniter will heat up. See if the igniter is glowing. It may be a thermostat if it’s not glowing.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

I have a white built in Gas/self clean oven. 911.33464400. It has been 3 hr since the self cleaning feature completed the cyle. The door lock is still on.

A:

Hi sberveiler, Self cleaning ovens have their own time table and will not unlock unless and until all required conditions are met. Unfortunately, most of us don't know what conditions it wants at the time. It is a good thing the engineers write owners manuals. I found and attached the link with the manual for your model. I also see that someone else asked a similar question. Here is what the expert posted. I attached both links below. Hope this helps!

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.

On something like this I recommend setting up the control for another self cleaning cycle, only this time let it run for 3-4 minutes & press stop/cancel. This should cause the door to unlock. If this does not help I suspect the lock motor or lock switches have failed.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
