Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the cook top. I will be happy to assist you. The information I am going to give you is based off the parts list. I will also be referring to the image posted below. First, turn the power off to the cook top. Then remove the grates and the burner caps. Then remove the trim rings on top of the burner bowls. You should see the screws that secure the burner bowls. Carefully remove the screws securing the burner bowls. Then lift them out. Next, remove the knobs on the valves. Now the top should come off. If it seems stuck, you will need to look around the base for other screws that are securing the glass top.

I hope this is helpful.

Thanks for your reply. I knew that would be it although I was hoping that it wouldn't be it. The reason is that I can not remove those screws. I tried everything. Different sizes of Philips head, WD40. Could you please tell me an easy way to remove those screws. Thanks Joseph

I occasionally had problem removing the screws in the cook tops. If the Philips head is a number two I recommend using a number 2 drywall bit. I use the Vermont American "ICE" bit. You should be able to pick it up at any hardware store. Besides WD-40 you can use a product called PB Blaster. It has a stronger smell so test it somewhere else before using it on the cook top. If they do not come loose, you can drill the heads of the screws off. once the glass top is removed you can be a little more aggressive in removing the screws.
