The first image below shows the theory of operation for the lock circuit in this oven. The second image shows the wiring diagram for the oven with the lock circuits traced in wire colors. The third image shows how to open the console and it has a drawing of the electronic oven control board. Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the oven before accessing internal components. The 4th image shows the location of the thermal switch for that lock circuit. It is likely that the switches for that lock assembly are in a condition that indicates that the oven door is locked. You could also have a thermal switch in that lock circuit that is tripped. If the door lock motor is in the unlocked position, then you can check the continuity through that thermal switch using a volt/ohm meter (with the house circuit breaker for the oven shut off ). You should measure around zero ohms of resistance through that thermal switch. If you measure OL -- open load or infinite resistance through that thermal switch then that component will need to be replaced. If the thermal switch is okay, then you can check the condition of the switches on the lock assembly in a similar manner. If one or both switches on the lock assembly are bad, then that lock motor assembly will need to be replaced.

You can order parts from this page: Kenmore Oven Model 911.30465690 Parts . Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the oven before accessing internal components and replacing parts.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

I don't see an F5 listed but the F3 indicates that you have a problem with the oven temperature sensor probe. You can shut off the circuit breaker and check that component using a volt/ohm meter. The procedure for accessing this sensor probe is shown in the image below. If you unplug the sensor and check the resistance through it, you should measure around 1100 ohms if it is okay. If your resistance measurement is way off, then the probe will need to be replaced. You can order a new sensor probe from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number for the probe is WB21X5301.

If the sensor probe is okay, then you could have a wiring failure or a bad control board in the console. I recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair this type of failure. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will try to assist you further.

Q:

What does the codes F3 and F5 mean on a Kenmore oven model 911.30465690?

A:

In reference to Kenmore oven, model number 911.30465690:

The F3 error code indicates an oven temperature sensor problem. I would recommend replacing or checking the temperature sensor to confirm it needs replaced. Most error codes are generated as a result of irregularities in the power supply or usage.

Error codes can often be resolved by removing power to the appliance for a minute and then restoring the power.

Note: By unplugging the appliance it allows the control to receive a fresh supply of power. This in turn will clear the controls memory of any irregularities it may have received from the power supply. Once refreshed the error should no longer be displayed.

I could not find the meaning of an F5 error on your oven. However on most Kenmore ovens it suggest a problem with the door lock.
