Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

On the electronic oven control it will have several terminals labeled. When the oven control is programed to bake or broil, 120 volts should be measured across terminal (BA) and terminal (N) which is the neutral.

If 120 volts is measured and the glow bar igniter is not glowing, it could have faulty igniter or an open circuit in the oven gas valve. I added an image below with a wiring diagram so that you can see the circuit.

NOTE: I do not recommend measuring voltages unless you have experience and feel safe and confident in doing so; otherwise I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your wall oven.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

It does not matter which two leads are connected to the oven glow bar igniter.

The igniter needs 120 volts applied to it before it will glow. If the new igniter is not glowing I would have to suspect a faulty electronic oven control or a faulty oven control valve. The voltage circuit to the igniter is supplied by the oven control board. The circuit is also routed through the oven gas valve. If the oven gas valve is faulty, the electrical circuit will be broken to the igniter. You can test the oven gas valve by disconnecting the two wires and measuring across the two terminals on the gas valve for continuity with an Ohm meter. If it measures continuity, the electronic oven control is likely faulty. NOTE: Disconnect the power supply from the oven before testing the gas valve for continuity. I also added an image below of the circuit and theory of operation.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Your Kenmore wall oven has only one burner and one igniter. When broiling you will need to open the broiler drawer and place the food under the bake burner.

Based on your symptom and details the oven igniter is weak and needs to be replaced. If the glow bar igniter is weak and does not draw enough current; the oven gas valve will not open.

The part # of the oven igniter is #WB2X9154 which can be ordered from SearsPartsDirect . NOTE: Disconnect the wall oven from the power supply before removing and replacing the oven igniter.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
