Kenmore Elite Single Wall Oven 48083 Trim Kit

Thank you for contacting with your question about a trim kit for the Kenmore Elite Single Wall Oven. I will be happy to help you with this David. I will explain how I found the trim kit to help you find them in the future.

I started by looking up the oven on Under departments I selected "Appliances" and typed in 48083. Once I located the oven, I scolled through the information on it and found that the owner's manual was available for review online. When I looked at the cover of the manual, it gave me the model numbers the manual covers. (790.4808*). I then went to

On SearsPartsDirect I chose the "Manuals & Repair Help" option. Then the "Get Manuals" option. Enter the model number 790.4808*. Make sure you put in the "*'". There were several models that came up. I selected the one that was 7904808300 since your client selected the oven 48083. Under that model there is an option to view manuals. Click on that and it will show you the Owner's Manual and the Installation Guide. Select the Installation Guide. I found the trim kits on the second page. I have included those numbers for you.

Oven want heat up 790.9011

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when you are having trouble with the oven and can't bake/broil.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your model number 790.9011.   You gave me enough of the model number to look at though there are a few more numbers on the end.

Here is away to check your elements to see if they are good.

1.  Unplug the oven from the wall.  Turn off the oven's breaker in the service panel to the wall.

2.  Remove the racks from inside.  There are usually 2 screws to hold on the upper broil and the lower bake elements.  Working with the bake element on the bottom, please unscrew them on both sides.

3.  Need a multimeter.   Turn the scale dial on the multimeter ro Rx1k.  Put one lead from the multimeter on the terminal that you pulled out from the oven.  Place the other lead against the end of the bake element.  The multimeter should read between 19 and 115 ohms.  Try both sides of the terminals and the elements.   If there is no reading on them, then it is time to replace the bake and or broil elements.

I have a link below to be able to order and replace them quick and easy.  Just need to click on it when ready please.

Bake element per model 790.9011

Broil element per model 790.9011

If you have further questions please let me know.

Thanks for choosing Sears

Problem with Control Key Pad

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your range. From what you are describing is sounds like the screws holding the board in are loose and need to be retighten. To do this, the first thing to do is disconnect the range from the power source. Remove the cover on the back side of the console. You will see the control board/clock. It is usually held in position with 2-4 screws. If the plastic around the board is broken or if the screws are stripped, you will need to replaced them. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, please click on the link to schedule service: Sears Home Services. Click on "Get Started" and follow the directions, click on the red "NEXT" button to continue. I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help. Thank you for using
