A:

When it comes to removing parts on your tool owners manuals are the greatest things to have. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I took some time searching your model number and it seems to be incorrect. A suggestion I have is to verify your model number and attach it to this thread so you can get a better answer from the experts! Hope this helps!

Hello Dick,

I would like to answer your question on the impact wrench. There is a round detent pin with squared sides on your impact, it may have to be depressed with a small tool that will reach through the hole in the socket. Some impact sockets have a small "ramp" that is milled into the back side of the detent hole, with enough force and wiggling, the socket will come off without a tool. The sockets that do not have this milled area will need to have a small detent tool used to press the pin down. If you do not want the socket to lock onto the detent, just rotate it a 1/4 turn so the detent does not fall into the detent hole in the socket. Impacts are designed with this type of detent so that users will not have to worry about the sockets constantly falling off during heavy use.

Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.
