Q:

Power Unit Assembly for Craftsman Jack Manufacturer? 875.501390

A:

Thank you for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Based upon the model of 875.501390, this Craftsman jack was manufactured in or around year 2000. The 875 starting of the model tells us who the manufacturer of the jack is. In this case, 875 was manufactured by Florida Pneumatic.

Outside of the manufacturer for the jack, I couldn't say for sure if Florida Pneumatic manufactured the power unit or outsourced it to another manufacturer. Hopefully this information will be helpful to you.

If you have any further questions or inquiries, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

All you need to do is look up the OEM Code - For many products, the first three numbers of the Model Number (usually followed by a decimal point) indicate the importer / manufacturer of the product. 875 = Florida Pneumatic - Previous Questions - 875.501390 - @ -http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/questions?q=875.501390

Anonymous raised a good point. The first three numbers does tell the manufacturer for any Craftsman or Kenmore product. To further expand on that, I have attached a complete source code identifier for all Sears's products. This should be of help for any appliance or product you have from Sears under Kenmore or Craftsman, or even the old Sears brand.

Source Code Identifier based upon first 3 digits

Josh, Thanks for the reply and apologies on my late reply. Quick question for you - are there any rebuild kits for these power units? I still have my old one and I'd like to try and repair it. Any way of getting a schematic? Thanks!

Hey Jesse, thanks for the response.

It looks like the power unit on this Craftsman Jack is being sold as a complete unit, no rebuild kit being offered. Usually that's the case for the power units, I think the primary factor is because there would be a liability issue if someone was to rebuild them and have it fail prematurely and cause injury.

As requested, I have attached a schematic for this unit showing the parts breakdown. You will see the power unit listed as # 1 on the visual. Hopefully this helps.

Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

A:

No, I sure don't. Since it's not being broken down by the manufacturer, I have nothing in regards to part numbers or visuals on it. You might be able to make contact with the manufacturer and see what they would suggest in regards to a rebuild or any internal specs/schematics for it. That would be your best bet.

With that torsion spring I'm not showing specific instructions on how to properly install it. With this spring would have to be put on a way that would bring the handle back up. Any way that you can put that torsion spring to make work is the way it’s going to have to be.
