Q:

How to put the power unit back together? 875501152

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

Unfortunately, we do not have any resources for the assembly of the power unit. The reason is because they are not meant to be taken apart, and are only sold as complete units. The only foreseeable option would be to contact the manufacturer of the jack, Florida Pneumatics, and see if they can assist you with the assembly.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question.  Per the owner's manual nothing should have fallen out when the Jack for turned upside down to drain the oil.  The spring and two steel balls I suspect are part of the Power unit, see part key 1 in the image below.  The other possiblilty is the spring is part of the Gear assembly.  This part is no longer available.  Please examine each of these and see if any seem to be open.  Replacing the jack would be your best option.  A new 3 ton floor jack sells for approximately $110 dollars.  The gear assembly part alone costs approximately $91 dollars.  You can reply below with any additional details for further assistance.  For safety and cost replacing the jack would be the best option.

Thank you for your reply. I initially ordered the 950115-25 torsion spring and was sent a straight spring that is 6inches long and a half inch in diameter which is not what I need. The spring that they sent me did not have a package with any type of number on it so I don't know what part number it is. I do not want to put in another order without someone viewing the part and giving me a description before shipping it. I have had three springs sent to me..... all wrong. Thanks I am including an image of the type of spring I need.

I had the same problem (got two of the 950115-25 tension springs). I called Sears and put in a research request. They called today with the correct PN: 950139-08, so I ordered 2 of these. (The image looks correct on their web site).
