Q:

impact wrench mod 875191182 what does pt #35,36,37 do? 875191182 Craftsman Impact wrench

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. We do not have any service manuals on impact wrenches but based on the image of the parts, I would suspect it locks/holds the forward/reverse switch in position. Here is a link to Owner's manual for a model 875.191183 which appears to be the same as model 875.191182 if you need one.

I hope this helpful. If the impact wrench needs service, I recommend taking to you local Sears service.

A:

Those three parts hold the reverse valve (part # 3) in either the forward or reverse position and keep the reverse valve from coming out of the housing. It's commonly known as a detent assembly. If you have to remove the reverse valve for service or repair, those three parts will have to be removed first.

Q:

grease inside housing 875.191183 Craftsman Impact wrench

A:

You can use multi-purpose grease for your impact wrench. The grease that's in there should be there. You should also run some air tool oil through the wrench periodically (they suggest every day). Most air tool manufacturer's sell a grease for the tools, but most of the greases are a general purpose type grease that can be bought at any auto parts store.

Q:

Lubrication Pneumatic Impact Wrench

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Use the oil that came with the impact wrench. To lubricate, disconnect the air hose from the impact and squirt a few drops of impact lubricating oil directly into the air inlet port. Re-connect the hose and run the impact for a couple quick burst and done.  Lubricate the impact once a day before use. Excessive amount of oil should be avoided.

You also have the option of installing an inline lubricator as mentioned in the Owner's Manual

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
