Just replaced motor in blower for sears package air conditioner system 867.819352; but the circuit breaker keeps tripping when turning on. Any ideas?

I'm sorry you are having this problem with your air conditioner. You have received some good general information from Jackie. If it's tripping the breaker now, it may be a wiring problem. Make sure the motor is wired correctly. If the capacitor was not replaced with the motor, it could be the problem. It may be shorted or the wrong size for the new motor. The compressor may be locked or the breaker itself could be weak. If the breaker trips right away, it will indicate a short. If it runs for a few minutes before it trips, it would indicate one of the components is pulling too many amps or the breaker is weak. This unit will pull approx. 40 amps. If it runs for a few minutes and the amps are in range, it will indicate the breaker is weak. In this case, an electrician will be needed.
