Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the furnace. First make sure the gas has been disconnected and the burner cannot come on. The best method of turning the fan off will be to turn the breaker off that supplies voltage to the furnace. If the breaker also supplies voltage to other products and can’t be left off, then what you can do is remove the front grill of the furnace and you will see a couple of discs. Disconnect the power again. Follow the wires from the motor and they should connect to these discs. Remove the wires and tape them off good and this will disconnect the motor. Now reconnect the power and replace the furnace grill. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services.

1. Can you provide the link to the owners manual? The one Anna T provided does not work. 2. Is this (Model # 867736434) a B-Vent unit? Or does it bring in outside air for combustion? I have the ability to buy a second hand one in good working order and considering using it to heat a 2.5 car garage. Please advise......Thanks!
