Q:

Electric starter motor drive gear for snowthrower model 247.888520 VTP318UIG2RB

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

The Tecumseh engine doesn't break the gear down singly. However, based upon my research, I was able to find the gear replacement that will work. The part number is 435-851. For convenience, I have linked it below on Sears Parts.

Starter Gear for Tecumseh 37000 Electric Starter Motor

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question on the old Kenmore sewing machine.

This is a 1954 model Kenmore built by White sewing machine.

Use good quality sewing machine oil that you can purchase in most fabric stores.

I assume you are referring to needles for the machine which are standard needles but you thread them from left to right because the shuttle is on the end instead of facing you.

Replacement parts will be a problem.

I will give you a link for some information on this model sewing machine.

Thank you for your question. I agree, just because it is old, does not mean it is time to replace the ice maker. Having said that, I have to also add that GE has replaced these older models with a new ice maker. If you hear the motor, but the ice does not dispense or the auger won't turn, then this may be a broken gear or it may have just slipped forward. You will need to remove the ice maker housing. See part # 851 in the parts image. Also check part # 873 (arm shut off) and #875 (spring shut off) and the switch #857.  You can see the parts diagram and parts list at Sears Parts Direct .  If further help is needed, please reply.
