Thank you for your question.

* Because this is a built in product you will need to slide the unit out from the wall to get to the spring. You should not have to take it out all the way. Just far enough to get to the spring.

  • You are right, the hinge is no longer available but the spring still is. Make sure you have some way to support the oven when you pull it out because it tip and fall if not supported.
