Thanks for the information about your oven model 850-4258390, I will be glad to assist. Based on your description, it appears that the element is not getting one leg of power. This could be a wiring issue or component failure. I would suggest starting with testing the thermostat, and selector switch contacts. You will need to trace the wiring from the element back; I have been unable to locate a wiring diagram. I was able to check the availability of parts and found the thermostats and selector switch are no longer available.
