Thank you for the inquiry and for using ManageMyLife.com. I think the issue with the manual not being offered online stems back to the age of the drill, being manufactured in and around the mid 80's.

For convenience purposes, I was able to take off the last few digits of the model and it generated some manuals for drills on ManageMyLife.com. I would recommend pulling them up and looking through them, they may be helpful. I have also included a link for the drill's schematic and parts list SearsPartsDirect.com for available parts.

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about the part for you Suncast automatic hose reel. I am so sorry to hear that the plastic gear has stripped. I know how convenient a hose reel is for keeping the garden hose out of the away so no one trips over it. Unfortunately the model number you provided is not in our system. I also checked Suncast's site and it is not listed there either.

The closest model I could find was RSB100 (without the DN at the end). A review of that model number does not show the plastic gear as a replaceable part.  I recommend contacting Suncast directly. Suncast's contact phone number is 1-800-846-2345. If the gear is a replaceable part, they will have the part number.

In case the part is no longer available, I have included the link for you to view the current hose reels we have available.

Hose Reels available through Sears.com.

I hope this helps. If I can be of any further assistance, please respond to this thread. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Hello Bill,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having difficulties with your snow blade and I would like to assist you. The blade that you now have, the 24441, is correct. It is shipped with two different types of mounting brackets, the version for the 917 and the version for the 247, and the owner's manual describes this and tells the assembler to skip to different steps for the different types of tractors.

Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.

Thank you for the response. I have been through this numerous times. Step 1 has me identify a suspension bracket type. My tractor has a single suspension bracket located underneath and centered as shown in figure 1.THe manual directs me to Step 2, which is easy to perform, Here, I make the assumption to continue on to step 3 which cannot be performed on my tractor the holes do not align with the brackets shown. Should I consider step 1 in error and pick the other path?

I have been doing additional research on line (reading installation manuals etc). Should I try to use the installation manual for model # 486.244412 even though I have snow blade model # 486.244411. The 244412 manual actually identifies tractor styles by 917 and 247.

Hello Bill,

Thank you for the replies. I have researched this issue for you and there is a problem. I believe that the actual part number should be 244411 or 244412. I will need to contact the manufacturer on Monday, but I think that we will be able to get this figured out now, in short order. I may also be able to find a part number for just the correct brackets only, allowing installation of the blade without having to return the complete assembly, but I am not sure of that possibility quite yet. I thank you for your patience, I will post on here Monday if I get my answer and Tuesday by the latest.

Jerry, Thank you for your persistence. I will also continue to explore and research. I can't beleive this has never been an issue before. My gut feel is that 244412 is the proper unit however, It might also be a solved by using kit 244441 and manual 244412. I will stand by for your input and hope it does not snow until Wed.

Jerry C. and Adam, I finally got it installed. The biggest issue was poor quality control at the packing facility. I have snow blade model # 486.244411 however, the manual I received in the box is for model # 486.24441 (One 1 off) Once I got the correct manual it was much easier to build and install. Additionally, the steps in the manual for the 247 Model Tractor are in error. Step 1 on page 8 and the on-line video uses the wrong parts to build the attachment frame. The package for model 486.244411 includes two support sets of brackets; one is Ref (15), Angle Support Bracket the other is Ref (22) Slotted Angle Support Bracket. Both the manual and on-line video identify and use the Ref (22) Slotted Angel Support Brackets for the demonstration, this is evident by the two elongated slots on the outside and two round holes in the inside. This causes the attachment frame to be too wide to install (Lesson Learned). The correct part for this step is (Ref 15) Angle Support Bracket. All 4 slots are elongated and the bracket is 3 inches shorter. I can operate the plow in air I need snow now. Thank You for your assistance Bill
