The link that James R. provided in the above response provided troubleshooting for a refrigerator with a water filter. I do not see a water filter on your refrigerator. Your details seem to indicate that the ice maker is cycling but just not filling with water. I recommend that you try these troubleshooting tips:

  • Make sure that the water cut-off valve for the refrigerator water supply line if fully open. You can carefully cycle it shut and then back open. If the valve is clogged by hard water deposits, this will often clear the valve so that water will flow properly.

  • If the above tip does not help, then I recommend that you shut off the water supply and remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Place the end of the water line in a bucket and briefly turn on the water cut-off valve to check for proper water pressure and flow from the water line. If the water supply is bad, then you will probably need to have a plumber fix this type of problem.

  • If the water supply is good, then I recommend that you check the water supply tube in the freezer to see if it is frozen up and clogged. You may need to unplug the refrigerator and pull the ice maker out to check this tube.

  • If the fill tube between the valve and the ice maker is clear then your problem is either with the fill valve or the ice maker module in the freezer. A wiring failure in the circuit could also prevent the ice maker from filling. When the ice maker cycles, it should energize the fill valve for about 5 seconds at the end of the harvest process. If the ice maker is energizing the valve then the valve (part WR57X10033) will need to be replaced. If the ice maker module is not energizing the water valve then you will probably need to replace the ice maker module (part 8390). You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website.

These tips may help you resolve this ice maker failure. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
