Q:

Craftsman Leafwacker plus electric manual

A:

I know how useful the owners manual can be since it carries some great information. I suggest you add to the thread of this question and include the full model number of your trimmer so that the expert can provide you with a more detailed answer. I did some research and I was able to find a link in where you can enter the model number and if available the owners manual will pop up. I hope this helps with your research while you wait for your expert response.

the model # is 833799861, It is Craftsman Electric Leafwacker plus. I found the manual on searsparts.com but would rather print it out if available. My husband bought it at a yard sale today and believe it or not the total w shipping for the manual will be more than he spent for the machine!

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the line in the leaf wacker. I was not able to find the complete manual for the leaf wacker. I have posted the instructions for replacing the line below. Click on the image to enlarge it. If this is the way, you are installing the line there might be a problem with the line. I tried to look up the specs on the replacement line but did not have any luck. I recommend ordering replacement line so you can compare it to the line you are using. If the line is different, take one of the replacements to the store and match it up. The part number for the replacement line is 396-2877P01 and can be ordered from our parts website: Sears Parts Direct

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Anonymous,

I am sorry you are having a problem with the line. Before you load any more line, I recommend checking for sharp edges where the line goes. If you feel any, you and use a file to smooth the area. Then inspect the path of the line for anything sticking up. If something is caught in the housing it may be cutting the line. If all of that checks out fine make sure you are using the correct line in the leaf wacker.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life. Mark.

Hello, I am hoping you can assist me with a craftsman leaf wackier also. Mine is a model 833-799863. I have a very large yard and a friend who recently moved gave us this. When we started using it today it did have string in it (one string was strung through). After using it for about an hour it stopped mulching. We took the leaves out and saw the string was only about an inch long. We tried to replace it with some weed wackier string we had, but instantly it didn't work. We checked it again and the string we did Put on was gone. Not sure because it was the wrong size or if we put it in wrong. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Also. We could locate a manual on this model.
