Q:

How do I fix belt slippage? 831299581 Proform Proform 860qt

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you're having with the walking belt slipping. I know how frustrating that is.

There are a few things that could cause this. You could need to tighten and adjust the walking belt, lubricate the walking belt, or you could have a stretched motor belt. To help you troubleshoot and diagnose the issue, I have linked a short video below that's very informative.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

I posted some images below that show how to place the console in the calibration mode. I recommend that you try using that mode to test the console. If the console will not enter that calibration mode then it may need to be replaced.

Reply with additional details based on the test below if you need more help.

Still have same problem, control panel illuminates and elevation motor operates perfectly but treadmill motor will not avtivate and turn the walking belt. Every time start is pushed you get a beeping sound from rear of control panel. Where should we go next? Thanks for your help!

I added some additional technical information for this treadmill in the images below. The first image shows a wiring diagram. The second image shows a basic troubleshooting flowchart. The other images show the technical information for the power control board. I recommend that you unplug the treadmill and access that power control board. Plug the treadmill in and check the LED's on that control board. The third image explains the operation of those LED's on the power board. That information may help you determine the cause of your problem. NOTE: Use extreme caution when accessing internal components in the treadmill with power on. Wear electrical safety glove and safety goggles if you conduct any live voltage checks. Unplug the treadmill as soon as live testing is completed. This additional information may help you determine the cause of your problem. If you need more help, let us know.

You will need to replace the front roller assembly on your treadmill. Once the pulley comes off of the roller, it is virtually impossible to get it mounted back to where it will not come off again.
