Q:

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is trouble with the treadmill.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Proform model number 831.299560.

Have you looked in the "owners manual"?   If you haven't then you can go to www.managemylife.com and down load a manual there free of charge.   It has ideas on what to look for.   I would first look at the power supply board there on the bottom base near the motor.  If you want to see the picture then please go to www.partsdirect.com.   Put in your model number 831.299560.   Look on the second page and is key number 52.  Good luck

Q:

tread mill repair

A:

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your treadmill not working properly. We are here to help. Based on the symptom, I suspect the walking belt is too tight or the motor controller is bad. I recommend checking the belt tension as shown on page 20 of the owners manual. If the belt tension does not solve the problem, the motor controller needs to be replaced. The part number for the controller is 137855. I hope this helps.

To order treadmill parts, please visit SearsPartsDirect.com with the model number.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.
