Q:

Incline stuck 831299272 Proform Proform 730cs

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your incline is not working on your treadmill. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information that should help you.

With the key inserted in the console, press one of the incline buttons. While the icline is changing remove the key. After a few seconds, reinsert the key. The Treadmill will autimatically rise to the maximum level and then return to minimum level. This will recalibrate the incline.

To diagnose the treadmill you will need to perform live voltage checks.

If you are looking to repair the treadmill yourself, I recommend calibrating the console first. I have seen where the console will loose its memory and recalibrating the console will cure the problem. If that does not help, unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood. Then check the electrical connections on the incline motor and the motor control. Then check the operation of the incline. If you still have, a problem the problem could be a failed motor, sensor, wire harness, or one of the boards.

Let me know if this helps.
