Q:

Treadmill powers up but belt doesn't turn 831297771 Proform Proform 595 le

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears parts direct. I will be happy to help with your treadmill. Upon researching model number 831297771; there may be an issue with the motor being able to speed up. Check on the motor to see if its 12 volts or 120. Use a multi meter to test the amount of power and check for an increase in power to the motor. There may be an issue with the motor or pulley on the motor.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business and have a good day.

Q:

fuse trips often during usage 831297771 Proform Proform 595 le

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Proform Treadmill, Model: 831.297771. From reviewing the details on your model, by what you have stated I suspect the treadmill motor is working too hard and overheating. When the motor over heats it can, cause the overload in the motor to open or it could trip the breaker. The most common cause for this is a dry walking belt. When the belt is dry, it causes the motor to work harder. To test the walking belt lubrication, do not turn the treadmill motor on. Set the elevation to the highest level. Stand near the front of the walking belt. Push yourself firmly toward the rear of the treadmill. If the belt is properly lubricated the belt will take you to the rear edge of the treadmill to the floor. If you move and stop, the belt needs lubricating.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the treadmill to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.

If you don’t feel comfortable or confident in this repair, then you can have it repaired at home by a sears technician. I have the included a link to the website: Sears Home Services or call 1-800-469-4663.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day.

Everything on the board you sit lit is as it should be. The clicking in the console assembly will be a relay more than likely. The manufacturer considers the console to be non-serviceable. You may open it up and look for any relays and tap them with a screwdriver handle to try and free them up. It’s certainly worth a shot.

If you find that you cannot get the relay to free up, the console will have to be replaced. The part number for the console is 152552 and it may be ordered HERE .
