I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your treadmill. This type of repair is normally performed by a technician with experience in this type of process. There are not repair manuals or written procedures to follow for this task.

Here is a general description of the task:

  1. Be sure that the treadmill is unplugged.
  2. Loosen the belt by turning the idler roller bolts counter clockwise.
  3. Refer to the exploded parts drawings in your owner's manual. The next major step involves removing the right side foot rail and other components to slide the walking belt off of the right side of the treadmill. You may need to remove components from both sides to remove the existing belt.
  4. Install the new belt and reassemble the treadmill.
  5. Adjust the treadmill.
  6. Lubricate the new belt.

If you are not completely confident that you can complete this repair using the exploded parts diagrams for your treadmill, I recommend having a technician replace the belt. You can schedule service at this link: Sears Home Services I hope this helps.  If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. I can understand how important it is to have your treadmill. It sounds like it could be a loose or shorted connection that is causing the issue. This would mean that the issues is the control panel itself. I would suggest you have a technician diagnose and repair this, because it can be complicate to repair. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
