I understand needing further information regarding your treadmill. I know how convenient these units are so I am happy to help. The flashing on the console tells me it is receiving a signal from the controller board, so the harness should be good. On the harness going to the console there should be a red and black wire next to each other. Check for DC voltage across those 2 wires, it should be around 12VDC. If that voltage is there then the console has failed. If the voltage is not there, then the controller board is likely the problem. I did some research on the parts, you can view the parts list as well at Sears Parts Direct. I found the controller, part number 138588, is priced around $67.49. The console, part number 115065, is priced around $179.99. If the console is at fault it would be more cost effective to purchase a newer unit since this was manufactured around 1993.

I hope this proves helpful but if you need further assistance please feel free to reply back to this thread below.

Q:

My lifestyler expanse 2000 treadmill speed is not consistent.

A:

Please refer to the answer I sent you on your previous question.

Fifteen years ago Sears and Proform were both convinced the walking belts would never require lubrication and any lubrication products on the market at that time would damage the belts.

Time proved that the original wax that was put into the belt during manufacture did in fact wear out after around 100 hours. Icon (the parent company of Proform), developed the deck and belt wax we use now.

The information I sent you on the previous question gives you the part number of the deck wax and the instructions for applying it.
