I provided the technical information for this treadmill in the image below. You can use the troubleshooting light on that control board to determine whether that motor should be getting voltage from the control board. Use extreme caution when operating the treadmill with that hood removed. Do not make contact with any live wires or contacts in the treadmill when observing the trouble shooting LED on that control board. If you have a volt/ohm meter and can safely check the voltage going to the motor, you can verify whether it is getting voltage if the LED is blinking rapidly. If you are not completely confident in your technical ability to safely troubleshoot this problem using the information shown below, I recommend that you have a service technician examine the treadmill. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

I am not sure whether that motor is still under warranty. It may have had a 90 day parts warranty. You can check with Sears PartsDirect if you bought the motor through that parts source. Here is a link for the Sears PartsDirect website: Sears PartsDirect

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will try to assist you further.

Q:

How much is it to replace the computer board on my Pro-Form XP550E treadmill?

A:

Before ordering parts, disconnect power to the treadmill and remove the motor hood across the front of the treadmill.

Inspect the motor controller carefully checking for burned marks. Remove the controller from the mount and inspect the back as well as the front. If any wire harnesses are burned, you can order them with the controller.

The part number for the motor controller is 241697, and the cost is around $135.00.
