Q:

How do I replace a motor belt on a Proform XP 590s treadmill (831.295060)?

A:

I am sending you an image on removing the front hood of the treadmill. After you disconnect the power to the treadmill you need to remove the front hood.

The motor is mounted on a pivot rod at the bottom and has a tension adjusting bolt on the left side of the motor mounting bracket.

Loosen the adjusting bolt and push the motor to loosen the belt.

Run the old belt off the front roller and the motor pulley and run the new belt on the roller and pulley.

Pull the motor back to tighten the belt so you can twist it 1/2 turn and you will have the belt tension adjusted correctly. Tighten the adjusting bolt to hold the motor in place.
